When is the best time to climb Kilimanjaro?

The two dry seasons — January to mid-March and June to October — offer the most reliable summit weather. November and April–May are rainier but quieter.

How difficult is Kilimanjaro?

Kilimanjaro is a non-technical trek but the altitude is serious. Anyone in reasonable fitness who hikes regularly can succeed with a long enough route (7–9 days).

Do I need prior trekking experience?

No technical climbing skills are required. We strongly recommend training for 8–12 weeks before your climb: long hikes, stair climbing and cardio.

Park, camping and rescue fees, all meals on the mountain, certified guides, cooks and porters, tents and dining equipment, pulse oximeter and oxygen, airport transfers, and two hotel nights in Moshi.

Daily health checks and pulse oximetry detect altitude sickness early. We carry emergency oxygen on every climb and have full evacuation protocols including helicopter rescue (insurance recommended).

Summit night temperatures range from -5°C to -20°C with wind chill. We provide gear lists and rent cold-weather equipment in Moshi.

When is the best safari season?

June–October is dry season with concentrated wildlife around water. January–March is the green season and Serengeti calving — incredible predator action. Tanzania is excellent year-round.

How much luggage can I bring?

Soft-sided duffels are best. 15–20kg is the typical safari allowance; light aircraft flights between parks are limited to 15kg.

What's your cancellation policy?

More than 60 days before departure: deposit refundable minus US$200 admin fee. 30–60 days: 50% refund. Under 30 days: non-refundable. We strongly recommend travel insurance.

Do you offer refunds for early descent?

Park fees and crew costs are paid in advance and are non-refundable. We will help process insurance claims for medical evacuations.
